Day Two - Arrival in Ghana

We are all here in Ghana, sitting in the Meaglent Hotel Lobby watching the Ghana-Germany World Cup Match. Lunch with Charles at the school - Madam Fausty made us the most delicious stew with rice. Meat and seasoning were unspecified but the flavor was great! Greenie pointed out that we knew it wasn't the goat- he's out back still!

Joey and Greenie spent the morning at the school. Joey was measuring for cabinets and chalkboards in one of the classrooms and some kids came in (he's a bit of a pied piper here). Joey's measurements turned into a full blown math lesson. He worked with a student named Gabriel designing the storage cabinets and they drew some blue prints and had to calculate out how much wood to order. This turned into a lesson on percentages with more and more students joining in. Joey was teaching at the chalkboard! They want to build Joey a chalkboard for his classroom now!
